Tech business signs on for Phase 2 of The Leeming Building in Leeds city centre
Technology company, Tru Narrative, has committed to 2,089 sq ft of office space at The Leeming Building in Leed city centre.
The Leeming Building is a Grade-I listed office constructed in 1904, which has undergone a refurbishment programme by owners Freshwater Group.
Tru Narrative has taken space within Phase 2 of the building, which was completed in December 2017. This letting is the third deal to take place in Phase 2, with 87% of the space now let.
The Leeming Building sits next to the new Victoria Gate development, with the refurbishment works including a new reception area and communal break-out spaces, LED lighting and air conditioning.
Mark Newton, director at TPS, development managers on behalf of Freshwater Group, said: “We are pleased to welcome Tru Narrative to The Leeming Building. Such a forward thinking company taking the space is testament to the fantastic refurbishment program that we have just completed.
“The scheme has attracted a diverse range of businesses including design agencies, PR consultancies and media specialists all of various sizes”.
Alex Jowett of wsb Property Consultants commented: “The Leeming Building is attracting a high level of interest due to the unique opportunity it presents in the market.
“There are not many opportunities to occupy such high quality vibrant space within a Grade-I listed building in the heart of Leeds city centre.”
Following the completion of the internal works within the building, owners Freshwater Group now plan to focus their attention on the externals of the building. The current proposed works will include new external lighting and refurbishment of the office entrances.
