Durham startup providing children's entertainment towers its way to the top

A local children’s party business has gone from strength-to-strength in the past year, and is expanding its operations with a roll-out of franchises across the country.

Block Parties - which specialises in LEGO®-themed parties - was founded and set up by business partners, Kelly Murray and Iain Harris, in 2015.

The pair have since gone on to deliver over 300 parties for kids across the North East.

Fed up of attending parties that were boring for the adults and not much better for the children, too, the partners got their heads together to come up with a concept where everyone has a great time and, thus, Block Parties was born.

The concept immediately proved popular with parents and children alike and the business has grown hugely since its inception.

Despite being North East-based, Block Parties has regularly received enquiries from as far afield as London, Southampton, Edinburgh and Wales.

Working with Ward Hadaway in Newcastle, Block Parties has now set up its franchise operations, and is looking to find more entrepreneurial lovers of LEGO® across the UK to help join them in creating the UK’s ‘best’ children’s party experience.
