Builders start on 40,000 sq ft Top Deck scheme in Bolton
Builders have started work on a 40,000 sq ft speculative industrial scheme in Bolton.
Seddon Developments is the company behind the project, which will offer units ranging from 1,500 sq ft to 19,000 sq ft off Junction 4 of the M61 motorway.
Known as Top Deck, the development is due for completion this summer.
Seddon MD Jamie Seddon said: “The high level of interest shown in the units at this early stage of development is testimony to the quality and location of the scheme and reflects the lack of supply of new properties of this size in this area.”
Joint agents on the scheme are BC Real Estate and JLL.
BC director Gary Chapman commented: “The scheme is indicative of Seddon’s confidence in both the location – which they know well – but also in the long term performance of the industrial market.
“The market has been starved of new and good quality smaller units even though the level of demand is very good. Those few schemes that have been developed speculatively have all let or sold very quickly at strong values and we expect that Top Deck will follow suit.”
He added: “Bolton is a market with strong regional demand and we’re delighted Seddons have taken the decision to react to that with this scheme.”
Seddon Developments, part of building group Seddon, is based in Bolton.
