Naked Noodle partners with community charity to host Chinese New Year celebration in Leeds
On Friday, Symington’s-owned brand Naked Noodle celebrated Chinese New Year alongside the Leeds Chinese Community Association, bringing traditional, oriental performances to the city centre.
On Friday 16th February, authentic convenience food manufacturer based in Leeds, Naked Noodle, brought Chinese New Year to Leeds city centre with Chinese lion dances and a traditional Fortune God appearance, performed by the Leeds Chinese Community Association (LCCA). The LCCA is a registered charity that own and maintain the Chinese Community Centre, providing social, cultural, recreational and educational activities for Leeds’ Chinese community.
Between 12pm and 4pm on Briggate, visitors to the city centre were able to watch authentic Chinese performances, whilst receiving free pots of Naked Noodle product.
Mike Benton, Head of Snacking at Symington’s, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the LCCA to celebrate Chinese New Year. Not only are we able to showcase traditional Chinese performance in Leeds, but we’re also supporting a really great charity. Being able to do this at one of Leeds’ main shopping streets means that we’re able to create amazing impact, with Naked Noodle hosting a fantastic day of celebration!”
