North West expansion for European B2B ecommerce firm
B2B ecommerce provider Sana Commerce has set up shop in Manchester as part of its ongoing international expansion strategy.
The Netherlands-headquartered company opened a new office at Manchester Science Park, creating several new jobs.
Among the recruits are five new additions to its marketing and sales teams.
Sana Commerce said the city will serve as excellent base for reaching out to B2B manufacturing, retail, wholesale and distribution organisations.
Michiel Schipperus, the firm’s chief exec, commented: “It’s been an exciting time for Sana in the UK and around the world. The business has seen very strong growth over the last couple of years after expanding into the US, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
“After seeing the potential within the UK, and the North West in particular, we’re now focusing on growing our footprint here too.”
He continued: “Manchester is the perfect location for us, and our office at the UK’s leading science and technology park – Manchester Science Park, means that we’re surrounded by like minded, mid-phase tech companies.
“The city offers a wealth of opportunities within its own thriving technology industry as well as the Northern Powerhouse, which is set to drive innovation and skills in the area.”
