Pennine Home Improvements celebrates £1.57m turnover and new Durham branch
Pennine Home Improvements has begun 2018 with a 28 per cent turnover increase from January 2017, as well as the opening of its largest showroom to date.
The North East retailer is celebrating a significant turnover of £1.57m for January, putting its success partly down to the opening of its new showroom in Dragonville Retail Park, Durham.
The expansion is Pennine’s first showroom in Durham, which brings five new jobs to the area. Plans are also in the pipeline to expand further, with the addition of at least one more showroom in the North East.
Mark Tinnion, managing director at Pennine Home Improvements, said: “It’s a really exciting time for the company, with the recent launch of our fifth and largest showroom, and a significant turnover increase that proves the outstanding efforts of the staff.
“The team’s hard work, focus and commitment to delivering the brand promises has really shone through for Pennine in January.
“We’re determined to continue this success throughout the year and hope to deliver a strong financial result for 2018.”
The group launched its new Durham branch on February 10. The evening included an official ribbon cutting ceremony with the Mayor and Mayoress of Durham, councillor Bill Kellett and councillor Jean Chaplow.
Consisting of seven conservatories and orangeries, as well as a virtual reality design station, the new showroom gives more customers from across the region the opportunity to visualise their dream living space and see the quality of our products up close.
Mark added: “With the new showroom’s facilities, we expect it will make a significant contribution to turnover going forward, while offering our customers a new and exciting way to see our products.”
