RSM establishes Manchester-based tech and management consulting hub
Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM has established a new technology and management consulting hub in the North West.
Operating from the company’s offices in Manchester city centre, the hub represents the latest move in a drive to expand RSM’s core services nationally, particularly in IT and digital strategy, cloud ERP and management consulting services.
The launch follows RSM’s acquisition of Cheshire software scaleup FHL, which made it the biggest provider of cloud service NetSuite in Europe.
To support the new hub, RSM partner Neil Sharples has relocated from the company’s London HQ to Manchester.
RSM’s lead partner for technology and management consulting, Chris Knowles, said: ‘Neil’s appointment in Manchester is the next significant step for us as we seek to help more businesses across the country to apply digital technology in a way that supports their growth.
“Neil’s experience of leading IT-driven business change means he is ideally placed to lead our expansion plans in the North.”
Chris added: “He will work closely with our new colleagues at FHL and will help to get the message out across the North of England that RSM can help clients in all sectors with their technology challenges.”
RSM’s 100-strong national technology and management consulting team provides clients with advice on IT and digital strategy, system selection and implementation and complementary skills in finance consulting and business change.
Jill Jones, North West regional managing partner at RSM, commented: “The ambition set out by our Technology and Management Consulting colleagues mirrors that of our own plans for growth here in the North West.
“We’re delighted to welcome Neil into the fold and I look forward to working with him to expand and develop the team.”
