Dacres makes key promotions in the Craven District

A senior associate at one of Yorkshire’s leading property firms has been promoted to run the firm’s thriving Skipton branch, following Tim Usherwood’s appointment to run the mid Wharfedale Otley office. Jason Preston, a highly experienced agent who has managed Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Settle branch for the last four years, will head up the team of eight who deal with sales and lettings from an office on Sheep Street. Tom Galloway has been promoted to manager at the firms Settle branch which is based on the High Street. Tom, who lives in Settle, has worked for Dacres for almost five years and is an accredited member of the National Association of Estate Agents (MNAEA). Jason has been involved in property for almost 25 years. He says: “I first started working for Dacres in 1992 and returned in 2013 to manage the Settle office. The Skipton operation has been at the forefront of the Craven property market since the late 60s and is both well-known and well-respected in the area. We are currently marketing properties ranging in price from £100,000 to over £1 million, both in the town and surrounding villages. Dacres also has a successful lettings service, managing a portfolio of properties for many landlords across the area. My role will be to continue building upon the success of the office, growing its size and reach, as well as enhancing the already high levels of service the company has become renowned for.”

Tom says: “Settle is a busy branch with plenty of properties coming on the market for sale and to rent. We cover a huge area from the Ribble Valley, up in to the Three Peaks district, and also operate around Kirkby Lonsdale. We have a strong reputation for delivering on our advice, and my aim is to enhance that still further with the help of my highly motivated colleagues.” Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacre, Son & Hartley, says: “Jason has an impressive track-record for consistently delivering excellent results and is well-liked and regarded in the market place. He is also a very rare type of residential agent, as he can provide outstanding advice across multi disciplines, including commercial agency and land development, as well as across a wide spectrum of property styles and values, so he is perfect for our Skipton branch. Both Jason and Tom have helped to transform the Settle office into the area’s leading operator since buying the business from Trevor Graveson just over six years ago. “Tom has a well-thought-out approach to appraisals which makes him popular with vendors, he is highly experienced and his local market knowledge is second to none. Having worked with Jason for just shy of five years, it will be a very smooth handover, and we are confident in his abilities to deliver on the already firm foundations.” Dacre Son & Hartley is Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent. The company has 21 offices across Yorkshire and 164 members of staff. For further information visit www.dacres.co.uk
