Darlington PR firm expands team following successful contract wins

Darlington-based Recognition PR is gearing up for continued growth after welcoming a number of new clients, leading to employment opportunities at the firm.

The communications consultancy, based on Morton Palms Business Park in the town, has secured a number of significant contract wins over the last three months.

Recognition has been engaged by leading education and training provider, Learning Curve Group, The Lakes Distillery, as well as Northern Skills Group and Country Valley Foods.

It has also added to its national client portfolio after winning the PR contract for former Chelsea FC Club Doctor and renowned sports and orthopaedic consultant, Dr Ralph Rogers.

As a result of the contract wins, three new appointments have been made to drive growth at the firm.

Experienced PR professional and trained journalist, Mike Renton, has become part of Recognition’s B2B team, having previously worked in a number of political roles, including campaign management and as a press officer for government ministers.

Rosie Earl joins Recognition as a PR Consultant in the consumer team from a communications position at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, bringing with her a wealth of experience of face-to-face people management and new media expertise.

Lauren Wright has also joined the B2B team as a PR assistant, completing the trio of appointments.

Established in 1990, Recognition PR has grown to become one of the North East’s leading communications agencies, representing more than 80 clients ranging from SMEs to national firms, including Vertu Motors, The Bannatyne Group, Black Sheep Brewery and Pimlico Plumbers.

Graham Robb, Founder and Senior Partner at Recognition PR, said: “Recognition has enjoyed a promising start to the year, with a number of high profile client wins that has led to this latest recruitment drive.

“We are committed to supporting the North East’s economy, through job creation and providing our core services to support and advise organisations, which are equally delivering jobs and growth across the region and beyond.

“Mike, Rosie and Lauren join us at an exciting time as we look to strengthen our position as one of the North’s leading PR firms, and continue to grow.”
