The Young Creative Council Moves North To Help Harness Local Northern Talent
Founded in 2007, the Young Creative Council’s core focus is to help motivate, educate and support anyone wanting to enter the creative industries. After expansion in early 2018 they now operate in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, New York and Newcastle.
Northern YCC representative Adele Mitchinson shared the reason behind their drive forward for Northern creatives,
“We have an abundance of brilliant talent here in the North and we’re really excited to be able to tap into, as well as showcase all the the region has to offer. The YCC aims to provide a whole host of events, workshops, talks, portfolio events, classes and much more - we practice what we preach!”
“Our first event will be held in Newcastle at Campus North supported by Komodo Digital 20th March. BANG! BANG! No.3 is geared up to get brilliant creative talent together, have fun and create something amazing together. There are limited tickets so don’t miss out!”
Event sponsors, Komodo Digital, Newcastle based development agency, commented on why this is so important for the North,
“As a business we know that it’s the youth that keep us on our toes and they’re coming in with fresh ideas and perspectives. We want to help support our home grown talent,” said Armin Talić, Commercial Director.
“We’re thrilled to be supporting the Young Creative Council highlight Northern talent.”
