Doncaster Chamber announces record breaking month for February
Doncaster Chamber reported record breaking Business Month in February, as it welcomed 33 new businesses into membership.
The Chamber represents Doncaster’s private sector with business growth through providing a range of services and benefits.
It also works on businesses behalf to lobby local and national government about key issues affecting the private sector.
Each business’ staff can access a wide range of Chamber services from events for networking and learning best industry practice, to HR and legal advice, international trade support and discounts.
Dan Fell, CEO of Doncaster Chamber, commented: “Membership of Doncaster Chamber is at its highest since 2016. This is testament to the excellent work that the team are doing to support the borough’s businesses and grow the local economy.
“We are known across the network as a credible Chamber that – working alongside our partners in the public and private sector – gets things done for Doncaster. We are at the heart of business to address members’ business-related concerns at a policy level as well as offer practical solutions, savings and opportunities to help them grow.
“It’s a good time to be doing business in Doncaster and Chamber membership is a great way of contributing to business success. We look forwards to working closely with our members heading into the new financial year and would urge businesses that are not yet part of our family to give serious consideration to Chamber membership in the near future.”
Joanne Goodlad, reservations and sales manager at The Regent Hotel joined Doncaster Chamber following the Business Showcase (22nd February).
She said: “Having seen what the Chamber has to offer we feel this will be a great chance to meet other local business members and hopefully work with them in the future.
“We also feel that the courses that the Chamber offer on a monthly basis will be of benefit to us and our staff are looking forward to attending them.”
Emma Long, commercial director at BizSpace who also joined Doncaster Chamber in February, added: “Gresley House is our first business centre in Doncaster and we are thrilled to be investing time and money into developing a modern business environment where local businesses can thrive.
“Supporting Doncaster Chamber’s Launchpad programme, which provides free support to new and emerging businesses across the borough, we are looking forward to working closely with the council and Sheffield City Region to nurture ambitious entrepreneurs and SMEs, helping them to evolve and grow.”
