Manchester social media agency to take on 25 new staff

Social media agency Social Republic has confirmed plans to take on up to 25 new employees this year.

The Manchester-based firm will recruit for a number of key roles in the coming months, including account managers, operations personnel and graduate positions.

Social Republic’s CEO and founder, Rob Illidge, is aiming to double the company’s turnover in 2018 by expanding its portfolio of 50 clients, which currently includes online retail giant eBay, tech company Pioneer and charity Melanoma UK.

The recruitment drive follows an investment of £25k secured recently from angel investors. Social Republic plans to raise further finance later this year to support its growth plans.

Rob said: “Over the last three years we’ve been honing our offering for clients, particularly in the ecommerce and charity sectors.

“There are a lot of agencies out there who provide social media services as an add-on to other things, but not many are dedicated solely to social media.”

He continued: “As we’re getting bigger and expanding our client base with companies in the UK, Australia and USA, it’s time to get the right team on board to support me with this period of growth.

“It’s a really exciting time for the business and with the right talent in place I’m confident we’ll be able to achieve our ambitious targets this year.”

Social Republic was formerly known as Elrelo.
