World champion para-triathlete and motivational speaker Steve Judge visits Connect Derby in special event

Steve Judge, two-time paratriathlon world champion, personal life coach and motivational speaker is the special guest at a networking event being hosted by Connect Derby.

Steve will share his inspirational story, at the event, ‘Achieving Against the Odds’, which is taking place at Riverside Chambers on Tuesday 17 April (5.30pm) and is free to attend.

After a near fatal car crash, Steve was told he might never walk again. However, after years of rehabilitation and training, he twice achieved World Champion status for Great Britain as a para-triathlete.

Now an engaging and inspirational speaker, Steve will be visiting Connect Derby to talk about his journey and how he learned the profound value of setting goals, working towards them with motivation and commitment and not leaning on excuses.

At the event, he will share some solutions for being more effective and productive using techniques which have worked for him in life, sport and business. He will also provide practical tools to enable everyone who attends to set their own goals and plans to achieve them.

Steve aims to help people, inspire others and motivate many and has spoken at numerous events for schools, charities and clients including HSBC, TEDx and Sheffield United F.C.

Commenting on the event, Ann Bhatti, head of Connect Derby, said:

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Steve to Riverside Chambers, hearing his story of achieving against all odds and benefiting from his considerable life experience.

“His story is truly inspirational and I think guests to the event will be able to learn a lot about how to motivate themselves to be the very best they can be, both in a work setting and in general day-to-day life too.

“This promises to be a really interesting event - I’m certainly looking forward to it!” she added.

The evening is open to all and starts at 5.30pm with Steve speaking from 6pm for around 45 minutes, including a Q&A. Afterwards, refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity to continue networking until 7.30pm.
