Doncaster economy 'very much on the up' as business park reaches full capacity
Bullrush Grove Business Park in Doncaster has now reached full capacity following the 12,467 sq ft letting to CH4 Gas Utility and Maintenance Services Limited.
Ten businesses, from a women’s healthcare company to a growing startup, have now relocated to the speculatively built 13-unit park.
Bullrush Grove Business Park was developed by Carnell Management Services Ltd with £1.4m of ERDF funding. The cash injection helped to build the high specification units attracting rents from £5.50 to £6,50 per sq ft across the scheme.
Tenants moving to Bullrush included Fabb Projects which relocated into 12,000 sq ft for its research and development facility; IT support services Transact Technologies Limited which relocated from smaller premises in Edlington; Blue Beacon which uses its unit for its food for the elderly distribution service and Land and Mineral Survey Services which took 3,000 sq ft to expand its professional network.
These businesses joined Danum Well Services, which took three units at Bullrush together with Signet Industrial Distribution Limited, which concluded a 6,000 sq ft unit letting.
Steelwire rope specialists Tensology, commercial roof specialists Doncaster Maintenance and healthcare firm Concepta complete the list of tenants at the park.
Paul Carnell from Carnell Management Services Ltd, said: “We were confident in the Doncaster economy to build these high class, quality industrial units. The development has proved very popular.
“The ERDF was aimed at kick starting projects to strengthen economic and social cohesion targeting SMEs in sectors including advanced manufacturing, creative and digital media, sports technologies, and medical and health. This has happened at Bullrush and the funding proved invaluable in making the scheme happen.”
Bill Mordue, Doncaster Council cabinet member for business, skills and economic development, commented: “It is great to see Bullrush Grove Business Park full with tenants showing confidence in relocating here and being able to do business in Doncaster proving our economy is very much on the up.”
Chris Dungworth, investment manager for Business Doncaster, also added: “We have worked closely with Carnell Management Services, Knight Frank and PPH Commercial on promoting these excellent units and congratulate them on the quality of the buildings and the speed at which the business park has been fully let to a range of quality businesses that we are continuing to work with.”
Rebecca Schofield, partner at the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, which was joint agent alongside PPH Commercial on Bullrush Grove, said: “We witnessed good levels of demand for the units.
“The lack of available small to medium-sized accommodation in the region meant the business park capitalised on take up of these quality units, resulting in a vibrant industrial park populated by a good mix of small to mid-size businesses.”
