Hospitality entrepreneur buys Grade II-listed hotel in Bayswater
Dean Court Hotel in London’s Bayswater area has been acquired by a hospitality entrepreneur.
The 14-bedroom venue, located near Hyde Park, was scooped up by the owner of Hartley Hotel in Forest Gate from a guide price of £750k.
Hotelier Mr Usman, whose portfolio also includes Pasha Hotel on Camberwell Road, plans to carry out a refurbishment of Dean Court.
The Grade II-listed property was built in the mid-19th Century and has served as a hotel for more than 50 years.
Leisure property firm Fleurets brokered the deal for the venue’s leasehold.
Andy Frisby of Fleurets said: “Central London continues to prove a competitive market and it is therefore no surprise that we received multiple offers for Dean Court Hotel.
“Subject to the relevant consents, this property has potential for the configuration of en suite facilities; so I am particularly excited to see the hotel evolve in the coming months.”
