ETG and CAMplete sign exclusive UK and Ireland deal
Engineering Technology Group (ETG) has joined forces with CAMplete to supply its software across the UK and Ireland.
The Wellesbourne-based company has signed the deal to help its customers avoid expensive collisions and interferences, whilst also optimising processes to ensure the best possible machine cycle time.
These solutions are available on all new machines sales, including leading CNC technology providers Nakamura-Tome, Chiron, Hardinge Bridgeport, Quaser and Bavius.
“This is another example of us moving away from simply supplying a machine…it is now all about providing the turnkey package that can help save customers money, improve cycle times and unlock production bottlenecks,” explained Jamie Fletchmoore, Director General Manager at ETG Ireland.
“Our partnership with CAMplete provides another dimension to our all-round service. After generating tool paths and checking the full kinematics of the machine, users can then run their code through the software for post processing, simulation and optimisation.”
He continued: “These solutions can potentially be fitted to all of the CNC machine tools we supply from new, with some also available to be retrofitted. The ability to avoid costly collisions can save thousands of pounds in replacement parts and machine downtime.
“Not only does it safeguard the machine, it gives the end user optimisation over the process as they can see in real time what the actual cycle time of the part will be, without cutting anything. Once it has been proven, the programme can be sent direct into the machine ready to go.”
CAMplete joins ETG’s already established software portfolio, with industry-leading products including Mastercam and CIMCO.
