Yorkshire law firm completes purchase of central London property investment in £13m deal
A Yorkshire law firm has completed the purchase of a multi-million-pound property investment in central London.
Shulmans LLP, acting on behalf of its off-shore client Skyline Limited, was instructed to handle all legal proceedings around the purchase of 25-26 Poland Street in Soho, in a deal worth £13m.
The Leeds-based team real estate law specialists, including partner and head of the commercial property unit, Simon Jackson, together with Peter Woods and David Ryan, were involved in the purchase.
Simon Jackson at Shulmans LLP said: “The purchase of the prestigious premises in central London is an important addition to our client’s property portfolio in the capital.
“The investment contains in the region of 10,000 square foot of premium retail and office space.”
A spokesperson from Skyline Limited commented: “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of 25-26 Poland Street in London. Shulmans LLP has been incredibly proactive in providing accurate and invaluable advice, guiding us through the complicated legal and commercial issues associated with a mixed-use investment property and with the funding requirement to acquire this through the family off-shore Trust arrangements.”
The purchase marks the latest addition to the company’s global property portfolio worth in the region of half a billion pounds.
