Music development agency signs latest wave of talent from Newcastle

One of the North East’s latest bands, A Festival, A Parade, have signed a music development deal with artist support agency, Generator.

The young four-piece from Tyneside are to team up with Generator’s Tipping Point Records label on a 12-month deal.

The label - which has signed the likes of Eliza and the Bear, The Lake Poets and Jake Houlsby - has said it is committed to taking its latest recruit to the next level as it looks to propel the band onto an international stage.

Generator’s talent development manager, Charlie Dancer, said: “A Festival, A Parade are a hugely talented band who deserved to be heard.

“I’m very fortunate to have seen them really grow over the last couple of years from selling out The Cluny with their debut EP to headlining one of the stages at our own Evolution Emerging festival in 2016.

“We have an abundance of musical culture embedded in the history of the region and it is a great privilege that through my work at Generator I am able to help promote these acts to the larger national, and indeed the global industry.”

For the past 25 years, Generator has been one of the biggest talent development agencies in the country for music development.

Tipping Point - the musical arm of Generator as of January 2018 - supports the development of artists and musical businesses in the North East.

A conscious decision was made by the organisation to further expand its talent development pipeline entering into the more commercial ground.
