North East London law firm acquires first permanent premises with £1.82m funding package
M-R Solicitors has completed a move to its first permanent premises in South Woodford after securing a £1.82m funding package from HSBC.
Established in 1998 by Waheed ur Rehman Mian and Jusna Begum Miah as a small consultancy, M-R Solicitors became a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) in 2011 and is now looking to expand further with the purchase of its new self-owned premises.
The funding from HSBC has enabled M-R Solicitors to relocate from rented office space in Highams Park and also renovate the new office to suit the specific needs of the firm.
The move provides an opportunity for future growth for the firm as well as offering job security to its nineteen employees. The company has also employed two more members of staff with further job opportunities available in the near future.
M-R Solicitors will expand its offer by adding personal injury and criminal law to its range of services.
James Patterson, area director for business banking for London City, said: “It’s always great to support such a hard-working business.
“Purchasing the property not only gives M-R Solicitors a permanent base, it also puts the firm in a strong position to expand and reach its ambitious future goals.”
Waheed ur Rehman Mian, partner at M-R Solicitors, added: “We have come a long way since our inception in 1998 and are pleased to have reached this next milestone of purchasing our first company-owned premises.
“It’s always great to be able to add more law lines to help us become a more diverse well-rounded firm – a move that has been made easier with the help of our Relationship Manager Sadia Raheel at HSBC.
“With bigger, new premises and a broader offer we will also be looking to bolster our team of legal experts as our company continues to evolve.”
M-R Solicitors already specialises in six strands of law including immigration, family and divorce, home and property, employment and work, money and tax and wills and estates for individuals.
