Early doors in the Pickled Parson of Sedgefield for business breakfast

Around 30 local business people enjoyed refreshments and networking at the latest Sedgefield Business Breakfast on 28 March. Organised by Sedgefield Business Network, the event was sponsored by Lane7 and hosted at the company’s Pickled Parson of Sedgefield venue.

Lane7 founder Tim Wilks spoke at the event, giving guests an insight into his vision for the Pickled Parson, which opened towards the end of 2017. As well as a pub and restaurant, the venue will soon have nine bedrooms available for visitors to Sedgefield and County Durham. Wilks outlined his aspiration for the Pickled Parson to develop into a multi-faceted community pub, operating as both a successful business and a building that offers or hosts other services for the benefit of residents. Susan Jones of Age UK County Durham also spoke at the event, sharing details of some of the work that the charity does in the local community.

Ean Parsons, chair of Sedgefield Business Network, comments: “Over the last two years, the Sedgefield Business Breakfasts have become very well-established in the town. There has always been a good turnout and at each successive event, we’ve been really pleased to welcome new guests. We’re very grateful to Lane7 and the Pickled Parson of Sedgefield for hosting the latest breakfast, providing some excellent refreshments and a very good speaker.”

Sedgefield Business Network (SBN) is an organisation for people who do business in and around Sedgefield. SBN was founded to promote the business economy in Sedgefield by facilitating networking, publicising the business agenda, and sharing useful and relevant business-related information.
