Smart Resourcing Solutions Wins Prestigious ISE Award
North East based Smart Resourcing Solutions (SRS) has enjoyed an impressive award win with client University of Hertfordshire at the 2018 Institute of Student Employer Awards in London.
The trophy was awarded for the Best Preparation for Work: Single Initiative Award in recognition of the hugely successful Assessment Centre Experience (ACE) assessment simulation.
ACE was embedded within the University’s curriculum for over 1100 students last year and it has recently been confirmed that SRS have been awarded the contract for ACE 2018 too, which will see around 2000 students take part in the programme.
ACE is the largest assessment simulation in the UK, if not worldwide, and sees the students take part in assessment exercises which are relevant to their ideal graduate careers.
The programme has been running since 2016 and grows year on year with the ambition that every second year student will have the opportunity to take part. The event is run at Watford Stadium, which provides an ideal venue to support the volume of students taking part.
The ISE Student Development Awards are the benchmark for outstanding performance, recognising and rewarding excellence across a broad range of categories. SRS were also finalists in the Best Supplier Contribution category.
Sophie Milliken, managing director at SRS comments: “I am so pleased to have won this award! The ISE is well known within our industry and recognition of the ACE programme from them is a real accolade for the university and for us. To be able to call ACE an award-winning programme is such a fantastic feeling and a really positive message to current and future University of Hertfordshire students.”
Judith Baines, Head of Careers and Employability at the University of Hertfordshire said: “I’m delighted to win this award for the assessment centre simulations run in partnership with SRS. The support from senior management within the university has been crucial to enable us to run such a large scale initiative, as has the support from SRS to both the students and the staff at Hertfordshire.”
Smart Resourcing Solutions works with employers, students and universities on specialist solutions supporting graduate and apprenticeship recruitment and employability. The company has been recognised as outstanding by a number of industry bodies including the ISE, AGCAS and the CIPD and has also recently been shortlisted for a number of awards including an award in Innovation at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards from Nat West.
