Staffs Travel Firm Appoints New MD
Blue Bay Travel Ltd of Trentham is delighted to announce the promotion of General Manager Maxine Rowland to the position of Managing Director.
Maxine, who joined the company in 2012, brings to the role an enormous range of experience, both within Blue Bay and the wider travel industry, with a career spanning 25 years. Previously enjoying a successful career as Regional Manager and latterly Commercial Manager for the £1bn Co-operative Travel Trading Group, Maxine has facilitated a number of significant and positive changes within the firm.
Blue Bay has seen an exponential level of growth over the last 2 years, including a £6.5m investment from from LDC, a private equity firm, part of the Lloyds Banking Group. The management team have expanded staff levels dramatically in all areas of the business, tripling the size of the office space, investing in new intelligent marketing tools, launching an online booking platform and a new luxury brand as well as introducing a number of new channels to market.

Looking forward – Blue Bay intends to continue nurturing their strong relationships with current supplier partners and working with them on ideas to grow mutual business. Their key objective being to expand and develop their online channel and drive growth through the use of cutting edge technology. The Blue Bay team are currently working on integrating enhanced tracking technology and intelligent marketing systems in order to direct marketing spend more efficiently to drive growth and enhance ROI.
