Well Green Primary School on Mission to Raise £15,000 for New IT Suite Looking For Business Support
Well Green Primary School has set itself the whopping task of raising £15,000 for a new IT suite and are looking to local businesses and Alumni for their support.
The Parents Teachers Association (PTA), pupils and their families have drawn up a long list of events and fundraising activities to help them reach their goal by early 2019.
The Hale Barns primary school is aiming to buy 32 new computers for their IT suite. So far, they have raised £6941 through school discos and an International Evening of Food, which saw families donating meals including Paella, curry dishes and pizza, to be sold at the school, which raised £1400 in just three hours.
Other fundraising events coming up in the summer months are:
Thursday 10th May, Shop till You Drop Fashion Show an evening of fashion and fizz from 7-10pm where up to 75% has been discounted from famous name, high street shops. This is a ladies only event. For ticket information please contact the school.
Friday 6th July, Summer Fair with BBQ, bar, stalls and games.
Mrs Kate Markham, Headteacher of Well Green Primary School said: “The children are really excited about working to reach our goal. £15,000 is a lot of money for our 245 children to raise. That’s why we’re looking to the local community for their support, whether that’s through financial donations or gifts for raffle prizes at the Fashion Show or the Summer Fair. We’re also interested to hear from larger companies that offer match funding. The new computers will greatly benefit all the children throughout the school.
Please contact the School Office if you would like more information or can help with the fundraising 0161 980 3976.
