LEEDS MARKETING FIRM RENEWS SUPPORT FOR ARMED FORCES CHARITY
A British charity aimed at helping former Armed Forces personnel transition from military to civilian life has once again received support from Leeds based marketing and engagement specialists, Alpha Card, to increase awareness and promote its annual calendar of fundraising events.
Established in 2010, Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) is dedicated to helping vulnerable veterans re-integrate into society and sustain their independence, with a clear focus on securing employment opportunities.
The Charity is widely supported by high profile figures from across the UK, including Prince Harry and Elizabeth Hurley, who place significant value on the hard work undertaken by the cause to support War Veterans both physically and mentally following their time serving for the country.
Specialists in the creation of bespoke Z folding cards and other marketing products, Alpha Card first started working with Walking With The Wounded in 2014, and has since helped the charity increase awareness of its supportive pathway.
This latest edition has been designed to drive increased footfall for the charity’s fundraising events – showcasing how the charity supports war veterans and associated costs, together with details of its Cumbrian and Balmoral Challenges.
Andy Sloan, Events Manager of Walking With The Wounded, confirmed: “WWTW programmes all work in harmony to address persistent social problems and make lasting improvements in veterans’ lives; ultimately supporting reintegration into society, with long-term security for themselves and their families.”
“As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely heavily on the support of the general public, with a vast proportion of our annual income raised through our dedicated fundraising events. By working with Alpha Card, we hope to further increase awareness with more members of the public, showcasing what we do as a charity, whilst encouraging them to participate in 2018’s Challenges - enjoyed by thousands each and every year.”
Taking place in May and June, Walking With The Wounded Charity Challenges invites teams of four to trek one of three routes, varying in difficulty – encouraging team work and leadership development, whilst raising vital funds.
Ian Whitfield, Managing Director of Alpha Card, added: “Walking With The Wounded is an excellent charity, which works hard to improve outcomes for War Veterans UK wide, something that we can all endorse. Alpha Card are delighted to continue working with such a worthy and important cause and are hopeful that the latest Z-folding card continues to drive increased awareness of, and engagement with, the charity’s campaigns and hard work, whilst driving new participants to its famous challenges.”
Headquartered in Guiseley, Leeds, Alpha Card manufactures over 10 million z-folding cards per year for businesses large and small, government, education establishments and charities.
