North East energy brokerage expands workforce by 80% amid growth period
A North East energy brokerage is experiencing continued expansion having increased its number of business energy specialists by 80% this month.
EC Business Solutions, which is currently headquartered in Boldon, is amidst a recruitment drive due to organic growth over the last 12 months.
In order to house its expanded workforce, the company will be relocating to a larger premises in Hebburn in the next couple of weeks.
EC Business Solutions provides B2B energy solutions to customers across the UK to increase the efficiency of their services.
A team of Business Energy Specialists manage every stage of the procurement process, as well as managing the switching process, renewals and the reduction of their overall consumption of energy.
Michael Rossiter, operations manager at EC Business Solutions, said: “The last 12 months have been fantastic for us in terms of growth both financially and with the addition of new team members.
“We’re proud to boast that we have a remarkable team here at EC Business Solutions, who are without a doubt the drivers of the success we’ve seen to date.
“The rate we’ve managed to grow at is amazing, especially given the fierce competition in the industry, both regionally and nationally. Despite this competition, we continue to thrive and add fresh new talent to our team. We’re definitely excited to see what the coming months have in store for us.”
Coinciding with the company’s business growth, EC Business Solutions has also recently appointed a new compliance manager, Chris Kinghorn, who will be overseeing the compliance team to ensure the continuation of first class service and quality.
Cheryl Cumiskey was also appointed as training coordinator earlier this year in the newly created role.
Rissuter added: “In what is an ever-changing industry, Chris has proven himself to be a proactive and attentive individual, so we’re sure we’re in safe hands to deal with the quality aspect of the business while we transition into our growth period.
“With the addition of Cheryl to the team as Training and Development Coordinator, we’re able to recruit and train agents on a larger scale than before. This is hopefully the beginning of a big recruitment drive for EC.”
