Regional law firm Napthens announces Liverpool expansion
North West law firm Napthens is launching a Liverpool base.
The office, located at the Plaza building on Old Hall Street, will open two years after the firm first arrived in Merseyside with an opening in Southport.
Growth at the Southport office, which welcomed Liverpool corporate lawyer Gareth McIntegart in 2016, enabled the firm to expand its offering in the region.
Gareth will now lead the Liverpool team.
Napthens chief exec Shru Morris said: “The Liverpool city region has developed into one of the UK’s leading business destinations – and we want to be part of that success story.
“Over the past two years, we have actively developed relationships with the local business community, particularly through Gareth’s connections across the region.
She added: “As our client base and professional connections in the area have expanded, there is a need for Napthens to have a greater presence and therefore an office in the city.”
Gareth has been part of the city’s business and professional community for more than 20 years. His background includes senior positions at law firms DLA Piper and DWF.
He said: “Napthens brings a clear, high calibre alternative to the local market. We believe there is a gap in the market for an innovative law firm to offer the range of services and expertise that Napthens can provide, combined with the high level of service for which we are renowned.
“We have identified that many businesses want a new type of legal partner – one that is focused on long-term relationships and delivering excellent client service but which also has the breadth and depth of expertise you would expect from any ‘big city’ law firm. We believe we give businesses that option.”
He added: “It’s an exciting time for Napthens and I’m looking forward to playing my part in driving the firm’s plans for growth in the region.”
