Analytics startup Formisimo hires five at MediaCityUK
Analytics startup Formisimo has welcomed five new faces at its office in MediaCityUK.
The company appointed Mark Edgeworth as chief sales officer on the back of his work with startups in Europe, the US and Asia.
Mark, now a member of the Formisimo board, previously held leadership roles with cloud call centre company LiveOps in San Francisco and communications business Intelecom.
Also appointed at Formisimo were developers Harriet Ryder and Kerry Godsmark, both taken on through the NorthCoders scheme.
Harriet worked with NorthCoders for two years as a tutor and Kerry was a participant of the training scheme, before which she worked for inward investment agency MIDAS.
Elsewhere, Formisimo has expanded its sales team with the appointment of business development executive Alice Iball, former sales executive at Pareto Law, and business development manager Phill Wormwell, who held a sales role at cloud communications firm 8x8 prior to his appointment.
Al Mackin, CEO at Formisimo, said: “Our team in Greater Manchester support clients across the globe, and I’m proud to welcome the five new starters.
“They join at the start of a period of significant growth. Our plans require an additional six new hires over the next nine months, along with additions to our board and support structure.”
He added: “As well as adding new, full-time members of staff we’re working with talented freelancers and local startups who support our marketing and sales efforts.”
Full stack engineer Harriet Ryder commented: “I was excited to join the Formisimo team, as I’d heard great things about them.
“My first few weeks have been great, I really like the openness of the business and it already feels like I’m making a big difference.”
