Durham's Swinburne Maddison office receives £500k refurbishment

Fit-out specialist, AMH Workspace has completed a £500k office refurbishment in Durham on behalf of law firm, Swinburne Maddison.

The five-month project has seen the complete transformation of the law firm’s 10,000 sq ft office at Aykley Heads Business Park, which they acquired last year.

AMH worked closely with Swinburne Maddison to deliver a modern working environment, which includes a new workspace café, high-end meeting rooms and client lounge area, as well as new office furniture solutions and upgraded IT functionality.

Washington-based AMH Workspace carried out the refurbishment in a live working environment, with a phased programme of works enabling the law firm to remain fully operational throughout.

The partners of Swinburne Maddison believe the significant investment has already had a positive impact across the whole firm.

The Swinburne Maddison project follows AMH’s fit-out of Hedgehog Lab’s offices at Generator Studios in Newcastle, as well as completing the move for environmental consultancy TNEI from Milburn House to West One, AMH’s 4th project in this building.

The surge in new projects has led to the recruitment of several new staff members at AMH including interior designer, Kate McNay; contracts manager, Robbie Holmes and furniture installer, Barry Lane.
