Property consultancy Allsop builds for growth with move to Leeds city centre's Platform building

Allsop, the independent property consultancy, has taken 4,750 sq ft of accommodation on the eighth floor at Platform in Leeds city centre on a ten-year lease.

Allsop has now moved its team of 40 people in Leeds from offices at 33 Park Place, to Bruntwood’s recently completed flagship building, Platform.

Formerly known as City House, the 120,000 sq ft building situated directly above Leeds train station has been refurbished by Bruntwood, providing a modern workspace for occupiers across a wide range of sizes from technology startups to national brands.

Other tenants at the building include Shoosmiths, Altinet, Rradar, as well as tech and digital companies, Kwizzbit, CuratorSpace and Coptrz.

Across 13 storeys, Platform offers a range of amenities, including a rooftop terrace, open-plan kitchen and shared lounge, soundproofed phone booths, on-site meeting rooms and car parking.

In addition to collaborative workspace, Platform has 9,720 sq ft floorplates which can be adapted to provide space to suit businesses of any size.

Allsop said the move will “help support the team’s strategic direction and enhance collaboration with colleagues and external partners.”

Andrew Wells, partner at Allsop, commented: “Leeds is a vibrant and exciting city having seen significant transformation over the past few years, of which Platform is a fantastic example.

“Well-located and fitted with the latest modern office amenities, this is the perfect place for us to expand our offer across the north and connect with like-minded businesses.”

Nick Salkeld, head of sales at Bruntwood, added: “Responding to rapidly changing work practices, Platform provides the city with contemporary workspace in an unrivalled location, with stunning views and some of the best connections in the city.

“We’re delighted that Allsop has moved its Leeds operations to Platform. Our ambition was to create a place where forward-thinking businesses of all shapes and sizes can connect to the vibrant city of Leeds and beyond and Allsop will be a welcome addition to the community here.”
