Landmark appoints Head of Artificial Intelligence

Data specialist, Landmark Information Group, has appointed Kris Clark as its Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI), where he will be responsible for the ongoing development and execution of its AI strategy across the organisation.

With over 15 years’ experience in the collation and digitisation of land and property data, as well as in the design, development and product management of legal conveyancing reports, Kris was previously Head of Product for the industry leading conveyancing search solutions provider, SearchFlow.

The main focus of the role is to grow Landmark’s AI capabilities, in addition to finding practical applications for machine learning and robotic solutions across the wider Group. He will also be responsible for designing innovative concepts for new products and services that will streamline and improve the property transaction process.

Mark Milner, CEO of Landmark Information Group said: “Artificial Intelligence is becoming a major focus for technology vendors and businesses. The ability to use AI to enhance decision making, reinvent business models and ecosystems, and remake the customer experience, will drive digital initiatives in the property industry over the next few years.

“AI techniques are evolving rapidly and we are investing in skills, processes and tools to successfully exploit these techniques, for the benefit of our clients. To this end I am delighted to announce Kris Clark as the new Head of AI for Landmark Information Group, who will be reporting to CTO, Ian Clarke.”

Talking about his new role, Kris Clark said: “As Landmark’s Head of AI, I look forward to building on our existing capabilities and identifying new ways of joining existing systems, processes and data together using AI, machine learning and other emerging technologies. I believe the industry as a whole needs to be ambitious in its thinking if we are to improve the homebuying process and remove some of the ‘transaction pain-points’ that have been widely discussed for over a decade.”
