Darlington letting deal ‘biggest of the year so far’
One of the biggest letting deals in the North East so far this year has been signed in Darlington.
Manufacturer Premo Fabrications snapped 132,000 sq ft of warehousing space at the 107-acre Lingfield Point business park.
The company confirmed plans to use the unit as a storage facility.
Lingfield Point estate manager Eddie Humphries said: “This is a big deal both for us and for the warehousing and logistics industry in the North East.
“We love to welcome new tenants and invite them to become part of our business focussed environment, taking advantage of our 24-hour concierge and security service, CCTV and number plate recognition technology.”
He added: “At the same time they are welcome to use the facilities, such as our onsite café bistro and Little Lingfields child care nursery.”
Estate agency and consultancy Connect Property North East negotiated the letting.
Jonathan Simpson, director at Stockton-based Connect Property, commented: “The arrival of Premofab underlines the strength of Lingfield Point as a strategically positioned warehousing facility located midway between Teesside and Newton Aycliffe.
“The letting is the biggest of the year so far in Darlington and follows the 76,000 sq ft letting to Magnet completed at Lingfield Point recently.”
