UBS Wealth Management sets up London-based high-net-worth team

UBS Wealth Management is establishing a high-net-worth (HNW) team in London.

The company has chosen Karan Sejpal, former head of the North West and Yorkshire, to lead the new team in the capital.

Karan has spent the past four years building UBS Wealth Management’s footprint across the two regions. In 2017, the firm’s Manchester base was its fastest growing office globally.

Elsewhere, UBS has made several appointments across its regional office teams.

Simon Pearson has been promoted to head of North West after working with the firm’s clients in the region for five years.

Current North East head Aidan Dunstan has become head of North East and Yorkshire, a newly formed role.

Other new hires since the start of the year include: Simeon Livesey, Manchester-based client advisor; Richard Wood, Leeds-based client advisor; and Oli York, Newcastle-based associate director.

UBS Wealth Management’s head of UK domestic, Nick Tucker, said: “Over the past few years, we have steadily refined our offering for high-net-worth individuals and families to better enable them to fulfil their wealth ambitions.

“This resource commitment is bearing fruit and we take tremendous pride in achieving growth milestones like we have today.”

He added: “Karan has played a key role in the growth of our regional business and this experience will serve him well as he starts his new role with the team in London.”
