Miller Homes Wishes Long Serving Employee Happy Retirement
A well-known figure within the Yorkshire housebuilding sector has called time on her career after 23 years.
Jan Hanaby, 65, commenced her career in 1995 as a sales adviser for Taywood Homes before moving to Crest Nicholson and then to leading housebuilder Miller Homes from where she retires.
“I have had a wonderful career in the housebuilding industry latterly with Miller Homes where I have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful people and create some happy memories,” said Jan. “There have been significant changes over the years, not least the arrival of the digital age, but this has only helped to improve customer service.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of my role has been to help first time buyers secure their very own home and help them on their journey and life together.”
Jan, who has been sales manager at Miller Homes for the last 20 years’ hands over the baton to colleagues Michael Goodwin and Natalie Moore, both will assume responsibility for the developments Jan had managed.
Sarah Whinfrey Jan’s regional sales manager commented; “I have known Jan for many years and have learnt so much from her both professionally and personally. She is a kind and warm hearted person who guided me through the early days of my career and has been a great support as I have gone on to develop my career in recent years. I know I speak for the entire team when I say that she will be missed, but we sincerely wish her a long and very happy retirement.”
Jan is looking forward to spending more time with her grandchildren, exploring more of the world and indulging in her favourite things; gardening, decorating and enjoying time in her new home in the heart of North Yorkshire.
