Doncaster Sheffield Airport launches new flight to Debrecen, Hungary

Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) has announced a new route revealed to Hungary’s second largest city, Debrecen.

Tickets for Wizz Air flights to Debrecen go on sale from 14th May 2018; comprising two flights per week starting from 16th December 2018.

Debrecen is the capital of Hungary’s Northern Great Plain region and once Europe’s largest Calvinist City.

Among the city’s attractions are The Nagytemplom, The Deri Museum and Hortobágy National Park. The city is also just over a two-hour train journey from the capital Budapest.

Sorina Ratz, acting head of communications at Wizz Air, said: “We are delighted to be the first airline to connect Doncaster Sheffield with Debrecen, giving our customers based in the North of England the opportunity to explore this vibrant and culturally rich city.

“Wizz Air now offers a total of eleven routes from Doncaster Sheffield, demonstrating our commitment to offering UK customers low fare air travel to a variety of destinations across Europe. 2018 has seen over 178,000 Doncaster Sheffield passengers make Wizz Air their airline of choice.”
