City Web Consultants appoints COO for expansion
County Durham software firm City Web Consultants has strengthened its management team with the appointment of digital strategist Kate Baucherel as Chief Operating Officer. Founded in 2012 by director and senior developer Adam Clarey, CityWeb has established a strong reputation among its blue chip client base in the UK, Europe, the US, and further afield. The company has significant expertise in emerging technology, working on the application of blockchain, augmented and virtual reality, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
“I’m very excited to be joining CityWeb to help them in their growth and development,” said Kate. “As an independent consultant, these were my go-to software experts for emerging tech challenges, and I’m delighted to become part of the team.”
Kate has previously held senior financial and technical roles in businesses across multiple sectors, leading several enterprises through the start-up and growth phases. She specialises in the effective application of emerging tech to business processes, with a specific interest in blockchain and distributed ledger technology. She is a published author of non-fiction and sci-fi, and a co-founder of North East emerging tech group Sphere Network.
CityWeb founder Adam said: “After years of organic growth based on reputation alone, strengthening the strategic skills in the business will give me the opportunity to focus on the technology. Kate will be a wonderful addition to the team, her experience in this field can drive our growth to the next level and beyond, as well as bringing charisma and positivity to the office.”
