Taylor&Emmet welcomes new head of employment law

Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP has appointed an employment law specialist recognised by The Legal 500 to boost the services it offers to local businesses.

Experienced solicitor, Simon Brian, joins the firm as a partner and head of the employment law team.

Having worked previously at Top 100 firms in Southampton and Leeds, Simon will be advising Taylor&Emmet clients on all aspects of human resources and employment law. He is an expert in both contentious and non-contentious matters, including contractual disputes, redundancies and high value, complex discrimination cases.

Simon said: “Taylor&Emmet’s diverse market and excellent reputation means I can use my wealth of experience to develop new relationships that will really grow the employment law department and move it forward.”

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor 18 years ago, Simon worked for a major FTSE 100 banking group, where he gained significant practical management experience. Since then, he has contributed to government consultations on behalf of the Employment Lawyers Association and was seconded overseas to work in the legal department of a global organisation.
