Work starts on 68-home Callenders Green development in Prescot
Work has started on a development of new family homes in Prescot.
Scottish housebuilder Stewart Milne Homes is the company behind Callenders Green, a project to create 68 houses on part of the former British Insulated Callenders Cables site.
Spanning 5.66 acres, the development will comprise a mix of two-, three-, four- and five-bed homes.
Phase of Callenders Green is due for completion by Autumn 2018, with the rest set to be ready in Summer 2019.
Knowsley Council approved the plans in January.
Stewart Milne Homes land director Stephen Daintith said: “Callenders Green will be a great addition to our growing portfolio of developments in the North West.
“Work is now well underway and starting to take shape ready for completion this autumn.”
He continued: “When complete, Callenders Green will offer buyers a choice of quality new homes in Prescot, available at a range of price points.
“We have already received significant interest from potential buyers which reflects demand for our homes, as well as the popularity of the area and its location in the heart of Knowsley.”
Stewart Milne Homes has a number of developments across the North West. It plans to deliver an additional 2,500 homes in the region in the next five years.
The company is part of Aberdeen-headquartered Stewart Milne Group.
