Leading fuel distributor signs up to support agricultural show

A leading fuel distributor has signed-up to be one of the main sponsors of the region’s largest one-day agricultural show for the ninth year running.

Coleshill-based Rix Petroleum Midlands has a large agricultural client base across the midlands and is the largest independent fuel distributor nationwide.

The business is supporting the Kenilworth Show, which will take place on Saturday, June 9 on the showgrounds opposite Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

Paul Doherty, director at Rix Petroleum, said: “The Kenilworth Show is a great event for the agricultural industry across Warwickshire and provides an opportunity for the farming community to come together and develop connections.

“We are long-standing supporters of the show and it’s crucial we maintain a presence events such as this, as we continue to support agriculture across the region with our fleet of tankers.”

The agricultural show is organised by the Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society (KADAS) and celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.

It will see people and businesses from across Coventry and Warwickshire come together, with a huge agricultural and entertainment programme to enjoy.

More than 100 trade stands will be set-up , with activities for children as well, such as archery, crossbows and bouncy castles.

Charlie Weetman, director of the Kenilworth Show, added: “We’re delighted to continue our relationship with Rix Petroleum at this year’s show.

“It’s very important for us to work with local and regional businesses and our sponsors are vital to ensure we can put on a great event year-on-year.

“Rix Petroleum have supported us for nearly 10 years now and we would like to thank them for their valued support.”

A free shuttle bus will run from Kenilworth Clock Tower to the show throughout the day.

Entry to the Kenilworth Show starts from 9am on the day and children under 16 enter for free. Advance tickets cost just £10 and are available from Kenilworth Library or online at www.kenilworthshow.co.uk.
