Completion of £13m residential scheme marks developer's maiden Leeds project
A £13m residential development in Leeds city centre has now been completed by Liverpool-based Elliot Group.
The 106-apartment development, called Victoria House, on Skinners Lane is the property developer’s first project in Leeds.
Trilandium completed construction of Victoria House, adjacent to the city’s £165m Victoria Gate shopping centre, which was sold off-plan to UK and overseas retail investors.
Elliot Lawless, Elliot Group founder, said: “Leeds is a genuine powerhouse and our investors are very taken with the city’s economic trajectory as much as with the fundamentals around earnings and jobs growth.
“When they hear that Yorkshire created more jobs last year than the whole of France they want to invest again.
“We’ve acquired a site elsewhere in the city centre and are currently drawing up proposals for discussion with the city council. I’m looking forward to sharing our plans more widely in due course.”
Victoria House was the first Elliot Group scheme outside its North West market.
At the time of its launch, Elliot Lawless said: “London is no longer a viable residential investment proposition, so investors are firmly focused on the leading provincial cities. Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool stand substantially above any others, which explains our focus.”
