Plans revealed for luxury Persian restaurant in Notting Hill
The company behind Hammersmith-based Persian eatery Mahdi has secured premises for a new concept.
Property firm CDG Leisure secured a 2,392 sq ft unit at 147-149 Notting Hill Gate for Notting Hill Persia Ltd, which will transform the space into luxury dining venue Beluga.
The site will have a VIP bar and two private rooms set over two floors, with interiors featuring wallpaper by Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli along with Swarovski chandeliers and Versace utensils.
Beluga’s menu will offer a contemporary take on traditional Persian cuisine.
It will also feature a cocktail bar, marking Notting Hill Persia Ltd’s first foray into the drinks sector.
Notting Hill Persia’s Arman Rahiminejad Tafreshi commented: “Our new concept will be completely different to our traditional Persian restaurant, Mahdi.
“It will be larger, with high-end private dining rooms and a top interior which only felt right to be in an affluent spot like this.”
Emma Cousins of CDG Leisure brokered the deal for the Notting Hill Gate unit.
She said: “The leafy surrounds of Holland Park, Notting Hill and Kensington, are the ideal location for this lavish concept by Notting Hill Persia Ltd.
“Beluga is sure to make a wonderful addition to an area rich with residents and tourists alike.”
