Acquisition completed of 'high quality' wind farm in Hull

A subsidiary of Broadview Energy’s Eolian Three fund has completed the acquisition of the Limes Wind Farm in Yorkshire from a private landowner, advised by Carter Jonas.

Located in Hull, the project consists of two Enercon wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 1,500Kw.

The farm was granted planning permission in November 2012 and was commissioned and commenced operations in December 2014.

Peter Robinson, senior energy specialist, infrastructure and energy team at Carter Jonas, said: “The quality of this site along with the lack of supply of acquisition opportunities in the market meant we were able to secure a market leading price for our client following significant interest from a wide range of investors.

“We were extremely pleased to complete the transaction with Broadview, who took a pragmatic approach throughout the transaction and we look forward to working with their team on future deals.”

Jeffrey Corrigan, managing director of Broadview Energy, added: “This is a high quality asset and we are pleased that our funding and project structuring allowed us to offer a valuation that proved attractive to the project’s vendor. We look forward to working on future transactions with Carter Jonas.”

Eolian Three was advised by CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP and Greencat Renewables.

The Limes is the fund’s fourth acquisition since its inception in October 2017.
