Newcastle cricket team wins new sponsorship deal with Lookers Kia
Newcastle-based motor retailer, Lookers Kia is backing local sport by providing Newcastle Cricket Club with new kits this season.
The new attire was presented to the club’s senior and youth teams as they swing into action for the summer season.
The dealership will continue to support the club throughout the season with tailored offers to players and coaches as well as cheering them on from the stands.
Andrew Cleugh, sales manager at Lookers Kia Newcastle, said: “It’s important to us that we’re not only known for our fantastic cars, but also that we’re known as a brand that supports the local community and the local sport that means so much to our customers here in the North East.
“We wish Newcastle Cricket Club and Stockport Georgians the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
The donation is part of Kia’s wider Gift of Kit initiative to promote grass roots cricket sponsorship and has also seen Lookers Kia provide new kits for Stockport Georgians Cricket Club in the North West.
Lookers is investing in a range of grass roots sports, with its dealerships sponsoring teams and individuals across the country, in everything from football to motocross.
Doug Hudson, Chairman at Newcastle Cricket Club, concluded: “We’re delighted to have received our new kits for the new season and would like to thank Lookers Kia for the fantastic support.
“We look forward to working with the dealership as we prepare for our upcoming games.”
