Onward Homes to create 40 jobs in Accrington with six-figure investment
Housing association Onward Homes is creating 40 full-time jobs in Lancashire.
The organisation has today (June 7) revealed plans to invest more than £500k to establish a centralised call centre at its headquarters in Accrington.
Onward will upgrade and reconfigure its offices to accommodate the new facility, which will also serve as a regional hub for Lancashire.
It will accommodate 50 contact staff handling enquiries for Onward’s 35,000 properties, all of which are in the North West.
Recruitment for the new roles will get underway this month.
Alastair Cooper, executive director of operations at Onward, said: “We wanted to create a single customer contact centre to ensure consistency and quality of service for all our tenants.
“Customer experience is paramount to our future and a single contact centre allows us to adapt quickly, support the development of colleagues and align with our digital services as they evolve.”
He added: “Accrington offers Onward a scalable, future proof operation which is viable for the long term and brings valuable investment to the town.”
The new facility is due to be fully operational by April 2019.
