DinoFalls Adventure Golf bites into TraffordCity leisure market
DinoFalls Adventure Golf in TraffordCity is celebrating a five-figure visitor milestone just six months after launching.
The prehistoric-themed mini-golf attraction has seen over 55,000 rounds played since opening its doors in November.
The 18-hole course, located at Trafford Golf Centre, welcomes as many as 1,000 people on its busiest days.
According to director of golf Pete Styles, it is now the largest mini-golf course of its kind outside London.
Pete said: “We’ve seen remarkable growth since the launch of DinoFalls in November. The concept has really taken off and become a must-do activity among Manchester’s leisure scene.
“There’s a huge appetite for fun, affordable leisure activities for all ages in Manchester, and DinoFalls ticks all the boxes. We’re open day and night and there’s a casual feel to it as we operate a no booking policy so it’s perfect for families, groups of friends and date nights who can just turn up and play.”
He continued: “We’ve grown our team to cater for the rapid growth in demand and our extended opening hours (7am to 10.30pm) mean we can cater for large numbers without the course becoming crowded.
“There’s always a great atmosphere at any time of day, and nighttime on the course is pretty spectacular. It’s also very instagrammable and social media has played a significant role in our marketing.”
DinoFalls Adventure Golf features life-sized moving and roaring dinosaurs, including the iconic Tyrannosaurus rex and a water-spraying pterodactyl.
The course is set around a winding river and three-metre-high waterfall, and decorated with more than 500 plants.
Speaking further about the attraction’s success so far, Pete estimated that DinoFalls has introduced over 20,000 children and young people to golf. To date, more than 100 school groups, scouts and girl guides, and youth clubs have taken advantage of its educational programme.
Pete added: “We created the DinoFalls concept after seeing the growth of similar courses in the US and London and included the educational element to make it relevant for teachers and school groups.”
