High street fashion chain to open first ever Crosby store
Fashion chain Peacocks is opening a new store in Crosby following developer St. Modwen’s investment in the village.
The company secured a 10-year lease on a 4,885 sq ft ground-floor unit at 10 Moor Lane, in a new building on the site of the former Best DIY.
It will be Peacocks’ first branch in Crosby.
Alastair Budd, director of asset management for the North at St. Modwen, said: “We are pleased to be able to make further announcements, so soon after redevelopment work has finished, that we have further occupiers signed up to move in to the new units in Crosby Village.
“The investment we have made in Crosby is helping to revitalise the village centre.”
He continued: “We are bringing new shops, larger premises for existing retailers, office accommodation for local businesses and Costa Coffee, which are all proving very popular with occupiers and local people.”
Elsewhere, Costa Coffee renewed its lease on the nearby unit eight on Moor Lane, in an area of the village also owned by St. Modwen.
The company started construction work on the redevelopment of the Glenn Buildings – and 10 Moor Lane – in June 2017, after purchasing the site and securing planning consent to develop the 24,775 sq ft retail, leisure and office space.
A 12-month construction and refurbishment programme completed in April.
