Local housebuilder raises £250 for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice
Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes North East, hosted a fundraising event over the bank holiday to honour and celebrate the work of Middlesbrough-based children’s hospice, Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice.
The housebuilder planted a memorial tree and plaque at its Grey Towers Village development in Nunthorpe for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and invited members of the public to hang their own personalised decorations on the tree. Following the event on Saturday 26th May, £250 has been donated to the hospice by David Wilson Homes, which they will use to assist them in continuing their beneficial work in the region.
Messages hung on the tree thanked the staff at Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice for all their hard work and dedication to helping families across the region, and gave personal messages to family members and staff at the hospice.
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides care and support 24 hours a day for both their child patients and their families. They work to offer respite care through some of the most difficult times to ensure the needs of the children and their families are met.
Steven Ball, Sales Manager at Grey Towers Village, commented: “It is very important to us that we work with the local communities in which we build, so we are very proud to have raised funds for such a worthy cause like Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice and to be able to offer space on our development for the memorial tree for the future.”
Sue Fox, Corporate Fundraiser for Zoë’s Place, said: “We can’t thank David Wilson Homes North East enough for their generous donation. All donations are extremely valuable to the hospice and the important work that we do. We had a lovely time seeing the messages that were hung on the tree, and know that it will serve as a pleasant reminder to all as it grows over the next few years.”
Grey Towers Village is a development of three, four and five bedroom luxury homes, available from £247,995. Set amongst mature trees and plenty of green open space, this Nunthorpe development creates a peaceful setting for busy families.
