NORFOLK ENTREPRENEUR GETS GYM FRANCHISE IN SHAPE WITH HSBC FUNDING
Norfolk businessman Andrew Sell has opened a new Fitness Space franchise in Downham Market thanks to a £80,000 Business Loan from HSBC.
The funding has enabled Andrew, who recently became a franchisee with Fitness Space, to completely transform 2,750 sq ft of leased commercial space, into a fully-equipped fitness club, bringing four new jobs to the local community.
Fitness Space is a boutique-style gym franchise with many of its clubs in the South East and Greater London. The new Downham Market club has been fitted with specialist equipment and software, including Technogym and Escape Technology. The smart equipment provides real-time data by synchronising with members’ smartphones, allowing them to track their progress as they workout.
Commenting on the deal, Andrew Sell, said: “I’m truly excited to be opening a Fitness Space studio, a first-of-its-kind for Downham Market. The support provided to me by our HSBC Relationship Manager, Ray Minns, was fantastic and I can now start to look forward and develop the business.”
Sarah Black, HSBC’s Area Director for Norfolk, added: “The fitness industry is one of the fastest growing sectors around, so we were delighted to support Andrew with his new franchise which will create local jobs.”
It is the second Fitness Space open in the East of England, with the other studio based in Norwich. Andrew hopes to provide his members with genuine expertise, fitness goals and an environment which is truly immersive.
