Phoenix Hospital Group announce partnership with London Eye Diagnostic Centre

Phoenix Hospital Group (PHG), one of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers based in Central London is delighted to announce a new partnership with London Eye Diagnostic Centre to add to its growing portfolio of diagnostic and outpatient treatments.

London Eye Diagnostic Centre (LEDC) and its team of world class consultants will with immediate effect be based within PHG’s outpatient and diagnostic centre at 25 Harley Street. This exciting collaboration will see the specialist clinic joining forces with PHG, one of the most innovative and ‘up-and-coming’ businesses in independent healthcare.

London Eye Diagnostic Centre will deliver a full range of ophthalmic diagnostic and clinical services to complement 25 Harley Street’s existing facilities including Optical Coherence Tomography, Fundus Photography, Laser treatments and an IVI Suite. Patients will benefit from 25 Harley Street’s outstanding clinical support and nursing care, high-specification consulting rooms and exceptional outpatient facilities.

LEDC consists of leaders in their fields, many of whom also work at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital including;

• Professor Ted Garway-Heath who in addition to his role as a senior surgeon and academic specialising in glaucoma and cataract is President of the European Glaucoma Society (the largest Society of specialists caring for glaucoma patients in Europe)

• Mr Jonathan Clarke who undertakes complex glaucoma and cataract surgery and is involved in a number of cutting edge research projects into new glaucoma treatments

• Mr Ananth Viswanathan who is a leading trainer of Surgeons in glaucoma and cataract surgery and Chief Scientific Advisor to the Government on vision and driving

• Miss Narciss Okhravi is a renowned expert in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular inflammatory and retinal disease. She is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.

This partnership is one of several forward-thinking initiatives being pioneered by Phoenix Hospital Group including the development of its Women’s Health Services and Health Screening programme. Building on the Group’s heritage in women’s health, the recent expansion of PHG services will see a number of leading specialists join the team. Patients are now able to seek advice on fertility issues at Phoenix with renowned consultant Mr Rehan Salim. For general women’s health issues, Mr Angus McIndoe and Mr Jeffrey Braithwaite are now based at 25 Harley Street and are available to offer expert advice and treatment.
