Wildlife charity thanks Waitrose shoppers!
Northumberland Wildlife Trust would like to thank all the Waitrose intu Eldon Square shoppers who raised £424 via the company’s Community Matters Scheme in April.
Each customer is given a token at the end of their transaction to support the charity of their choice and every month three charities are selected, with £1000 being divided between them according to how many tokens are in each box.
Receiving the cheque from Alan Bunn, Waitrose Team Manager, Helen Twelves, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Head of Business Management said: “This is the third time Waitrose Newcastle and its generous shoppers have supported us, having previously raised funds in 2011 and 2012. Needless to say, the money donated will be spent on our vital conservation work around the region.”
