Join the Dots expands board with non-exec appointment

Global consumer insight agency, Join the Dots, has announced the appointment of Phil Andrews as a non-executive board member.

Join the Dots – which celebrates its 20th year in 2018 – delivers consumer insight to blue chip global clients through a combination of rigorous primary research and the latest thinking in psychology, behavioural economics and consumer trends.

Phil brings a wealth of experience to the position, having worked for and run a number of communications-based agencies during a career spanning 30 years.

Most recently, Phil was chief operating officer of Engine UK – an independent marketing services group – from 2008-2012. His previous agency, Partners Andrews Aldridge, which he founded in 1998, won numerous creative awards and Industry Agency of The Year accolades under his leadership before being sold to Engine in 2008. Prior to starting Partners Andrews Aldridge, Phil was managing director of Arc Group’s integrated agency.

Commenting on his appointment, Phil said: “Join the Dots is a great business demonstrating strong growth with an impressive client list. I’m joining at a particularly exciting stage of the company’s journey as it expands its reach into international markets namely the US and Asia, as well as growing its sector specialisms in industries such as media, fmcg and retail. I look forward to working closely with the board to build the blueprint for another twenty years of helping their clients to make better business decisions.”

Phil’s appointment coincides with the company’s managing director, Quentin Ashby, taking the role of chief executive officer and director, Graeme Lawrence, taking the role of chief client officer.

Quentin added: “We have engaged Phil for his track record and wealth of industry expertise. His experience of growing consultancy and agency businesses is second to none and he will be an invaluable addition to our board as we look forward to the next phase of growth.”
